The Accenture Technology Vision is a visionary piece of work showing where we see technology develop over time.
It is interesting to see that more and more people are getting back to the center of what we do and where we go. So, the Technology Vision this year carries the title “Technology for People – the Era of the Intelligent Enterprise”.
This leads to five trends:
- AI is the new UI
- Ecosystems as Macrocosmos
- Workforce Marketplace
- Design for Humans
- The Unchartered
A few years ago, I started to talk about “Human Centered Security“. In other words, that we need to put people at the heart of what we do when we look at security. We need to ensure that we help our users, customers, and partners to do their job as painlessly as possible without getting into their way too much. Help them to manage their risks while achieving their business goals. Technology now does not only change the way we interact generally between people and between users and systems but technology enables us to find new way to support our user-base as well as security professionals.
As an example: When we look at Identity and Access Management, we started to take the latest available technology to address this really complex problem in most companies. We leverage chat bots and artificial intelligence and pair it with robotics to create a completely new user experience, mask the complexity of the systems behind it while allowing the customer to clean up their environment without having to go for a complex and costly big bang. The results are amazing and the customers really love it: Less cost, higher security, better user experience!
And this all was originated having the user in mind, making it easy for people to use the systems.
