I guess you are aware of the phone scams, when Microsoft support is calling you to tell you that you have an issue on your computer, which needs to be fixed. A Norwegian team was actually able to film that. The whole conversation with the “supporter” is in English (the rest in Norwegian) and is definitely worth looking at:

The whole article (in Norwegian but Bing Translator helps) can be found here: Her prøver Windows-svindlerne å lure kredittkortet fra oss

Good evening Roger
Short story from me about this type of calls – one afternoon during the week, I was at home and a guy called me. He told me that’s his name is Parker from Windows Soft and that my PC is currently downloading software from the web server. For me – it was clear which type of call this is, but I played a game. The guys was speaking in English, with a Indian accent. Were you ever in contact with a Daniel Parker from New Jersy with Indian accent …. ?
I ask him about his name and phone number in case of our call will be broken. Then I told him, that I know need HIS credit card number to validate his data.
“hello, hello ….. ” and he hang-up ….
Have a nice evening,
Regards,
Thomas
